PIONEERING COMPASSION
PIONEERING COMPASSION
Instead of launching straight into the unknown, MySense has waited patiently and researched into almost five years of user feedback on various digital trends in population health, before developing its own product. Using that invaluable knowledge and its team’s personal experiences and compassion, MySense has developed a unique health analytic platform that creates a new world of reassurance, dignity and peace of mind for everyone.
The product is different. Of course it addresses the importance of innovation but it is passionately built to be personal by creating a real picture of the user based on their individual behaviour. It doesn’t work on anyone else nor is it a generic model. Using human contact and support, MySense is the ‘Guardian Angel’ of today’s healthcare.
When the MySense platform monitors an individual’s health, wellbeing and behaviour patterns, it also establishes what ‘being well’ looks like and is able to flag up even subtle changes immediately. It learns from data and develops a deeper understanding of an individual’s healthcare needs. MySense empowers people to live as independently as possible ensuring that they live to their full potential whatever their health, mobility or age.
The people at MySense believe that its technology must be simple and affordable as well as being genuinely useful. They are building a world where reassurance and peace of mind is available to everyone. This is why some of its profit will always be dedicated to helping developing nations with limited access to healthcare.
They want to make a real difference to families trying to provide the best care for loved ones and hospitals, local authorities and charities who need to manage patient care at home.
Using a secure platform to sense behaviour patterns, it can quickly identify declining health or immediate care needs. The information is gathered from a variety of sensors, both wearable and static devices placed around the home. MySense has worked with great care to ensure that its devices are non-intrusive. Whilst the technology is always current and reliable, the attention is ultimately focused on the user, how it makes them feel and what it means to them.
Besides the wristband sensor which measures heart rate for drops or elevations that could indicate stress, illness etc., other sensor examples include door sensors which monitor unusual or lack of activity – these can be on front doors, fridges etc., seat sensors which check an individual’s physical activity outside normal levels, like prolonged periods spent in a chair. Others include plug sensors which might show usage of a kettle or TV, tap sensors; highlighting changes to water consumption, toilet sensors, shower sensors, bed sensors.
Not only picking up a lack of hydration and reminding the user to drink more water or reminding those of us who sit too long to get up and walk around, the app also contains a valuable medication reminder.
Not included in the box but one of the company’s first add-ons is a ‘falls pendant’. Worn by the individual, this clever but simple device will, in the event of a fall, provide 2-way communication and the location of exactly where the user has fallen.
The company delivers a personal data promise. The data, which is used to learn and understand an individual’s healthcare needs, belongs entirely to that individual. MySense want people to take ownership of their health. Machine-learning algorithms are then used against the data, constantly searching for patterns and anomalies. Indicators of concern or patterns of behaviour are auto-updated, providing a constant status.
Families and friends can also view their loved ones’ wellbeing status in the MySense app and Care organisations may trust in an easy to use dashboard. Alerts will notify the individual via the MySense app or, should a situation be more serious, a relevant responder via text message or the MySense app.
There are 4 stages of response: Stage 1 requires a check in on the customer via the home app, stage 2 would be a check in via a phone call, stage 3 – a visit to the customer and stage 4 would alert an emergency response.
This modern set of Smart devices is expected to be invaluable to the lives of not just the elderly or those requiring healthcare but anyone living alone or who is considered vulnerable in some way.
The installation process is very simple and quick with no alternations necessary to the home. Wi-Fi or a mobile phone is all that is necessary to set up and use and the costs involved are extremely affordable.
Opening a MySense box is something of an experience in itself. It immediately appeals. The devices reveal a modern, revolutionary ‘centre’. It’s an exciting outlook for users; any health concerns, anxieties or even just a lack of peace of mind, can be detected in the early stages. It’s a whole new world where MySense users are far-sighted and inspired to become discerning about their future.
The team at MySense are all experts in their field with a genuine compassion for the work they do. They proudly work with care providers, retailers, charities, NHS trusts and local authorities to provide a unique wellness service.
MySense is a brand with a passion for care, understanding and trust.
